Texas Praline Cheescake (Print this)
Crust:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 Tblsp. granulated sugar
3 Tblsp. butter, melted
Filling:
3 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
3 Tblsp. all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup finely chopped pecan for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crust:
Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter in bowl. Press this mixture into a 9 inch springform pan, covering the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Increase the oven temp to 450 degrees.
Filling:
Combine softened cream cheese, brown sugar and flour with an electric mixer. Mix at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time until well blended.
Add vanilla and blend.
Pour mixture into the prepared pan and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce temp to 250 degrees and bake another 30 minutes, or until set and the top is cracked.
Cool on a wire rack, loosen cake from the rim of the pan and refrigerate until chilled.
To serve, removes sides of pan, brush the top with maple syrup and garnish with chopped pecans.
